the mid-term break

Mid term bREak? What break? Nervous break-down more likely.. So many projects and things to settle. Amidst these whirlpool of craziness, there are some enjoyable moments.

On friday night after Aikido training, tong cai suddenly asked for a diet coke. Wondering why the health-conscious ex-boss would want to drink that. Alas! He wanted to experiment this: diet coke + mentos = ? Weiye enthusiastically volunteered to be the helper and boss, ning qi the video-grahper. hua zhen and myself simply enjoying the whole show. So he placed the coke on the grass patch beside the pull-up bar and then realised to his horror that the opening was too small for the mentos. Weiye and him had to stomped on a few and forced them in. hmm... the effect: a foaming coke, much dismay for all of us. We decided one fine day, we get those big bottled ones and put a test-tube full of mentos.

Lesson learnt: never drink coke after you ate a row of mentos. According to Hua zhen, you get a very bloated stomach. According to the rest of us, you turned into a merlion.

Today my beloved adorable cousin came over to my place. He would cry when I carried him but the trick is, get out of the house- let him enjoy the scenery. So while he was in my arms, his fingers were fondling my ear!! It is so ticklish that I had to hand my cousin back to my uncle. cute little baby. okie.. he is not entirely "little" considering he is now weighing a whopping 11kg and standing at about 70cm.

Lesson learnt: -

there you will be

She, my close friend dolly, told me not to be sad. Not to cry at the airport. Be happy. In anycase, I did not cry in front of her. hahaha... I shall not continue writting if not tears like flowing water came streaming uncontrollably down my cheeks.

A year ago, I was rather upset that she is going to NTU. And now, she is going to London. I prefer the former choice! Actually, I am really happy for her. Hope she come back with an ang moh boyfriend ~ hehe... dolly dear are you reading this??

Friends I have many. Close friends I have a few. Love you dolly!

Another quiz!

Lim, your signature color is Aqua Paradise

You're one-of-a-kind, that's for sure. A unique individual like you will make her mark with a bold, eye-catching color that's not afraid to be noticed. That's why we're pairing you up with Aqua Paradise. Your friends may sometimes question your choices in everything from what you wear to who you date, but they are likely to admire your willingness to experience all that life has to offer. In fact, it wouldn't surprise us if your experimental nature has helped you become ultra-secure in yourself — and that's a great way to be. You've also probably got a creative way of looking at the world that gives you a unique approach to solving problems, at home and at work. And your offbeat opinions and adventurous spirit likely make you a compelling character to pal around with. So keep it up, Aqua, and never give up on whatever paradise you seek!

silly thing i had done.

This morning I packed my stuff for aikido grading before leaving for church. In church while groping in the bag for a jacket, I felt a rather tough material and something metallic cold. I was pondering how could my aikido gi felt this way and to my horror upon pulling it out: my fencing breeches. I had mistaken my aikido pants with breeches. Both white can... So I had to sms a few people to borrow pants. Thank God, xiu jun brought me a pair. Just in time for grading!!

It was fun but got a bit panicky. haha... dont know why. Anyway I got my promotion. So time to spend 5 bucks on the blue belt. Thankfully, the kind Gopi aka Arthur, going to lend me his. Save money =)

Congratz to all those who went grading!!! All of us got promoted and the chairman, Tong cai is now the Sensei favourite disciple! HorraY!!!

The following are my activities expenses for the START of sem 1:

Fencing membership: $50
Blade: $40
Aikido grading: $72
Aikido fee: $15
consonance membership: $20

All these added up to a whopping $197, 3 dollars from hitting $200. That exclues my reading packages and textbooks...

Post- Welcome tea and AGM

Last night Welcome tea cum AGM was sadly stained by some politics. Someone just like to interrupt and take charge of everything. Many people were apparently quite irriated especially You-Know-Who. YKW had been sitting quietly at one corner, enjoying the company of others or rather in his la-la land until the someone opened his mouth a bit too often. YKW shot up as if a nest of red ants had bitten his butt, and aim a question at him. Oh manz! That was better than my "CAN YOU SHUT UP!!" version. *ahem... not entirely nice.
Disappointly, he didnt get the hint but toned down a bit. phew...

Here is another guy, a social moth. However, that entire evening except for occasional photo-shooting he was strangely glued to his seat. Ok, its not strange. He was entertaining the girls at his table. argh... what he needs is a GOOD HAIR CUT. If you are reading this, please... heed my advice: CUT YOUR HAIR. Your hair or bird nest, doesnt fit your image, face shape and whatever. It is simply an eye-sore, that unkempt hairdo of yours. If you trying to imitate some 60's look or whichever star, you obviously cant pull it off. Want to attract more girls? Please take a leaf or two from the rest of the guys in fencing. Although they are not some fashion gurus, but at least they look well-maintained.

Okie... finally... We had our Assist. QM, Treasurer, Assist Treasurer , Secretary. Except for the secretary, the rest are girls *horray. Everyone clap.
