This week is the Holy week, the period of time when Jesus entered Jerusalem to His Resurrection- the Salavation. I actually comtemplated to give a detailed description of the happenings but somehow decided to give the essence. Those who are interested, here is the link: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=26&version=31 from Matthew 21:1-27; 26-28.

Jesus was riding on a donkey when He entered Jerusalem. The people were glorifying him, shouting " Hosanna!", some spreading their cloaks on the road while others cut branches and spread them on the road. A triumphal entry indeed. However, a few days later the same group of people shouted " crucify him!". How fast a man changes his heart. . The reasons are many including He is the promised Messiah (in Old Testament), the Chief priests and elders rejected His teachings, He is the King... etc. So as it was a governer's custom at the Feast to release prisoner chosen by the people, they chose the notorious murder to be released to them! http://www.lightplanet.com/mormons/response/qa/reason_crucified.htm So He was crucified, whipped and mocked. When the darkness came over all the land, Jesus cried out " Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" ( which means " my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?) and after He received a drink of vinegar, he cried " It is finished" and died. Suffered and died on the cross. Joseph of Arimathea requested to take the body. With Nicodemus, they wrapped His body with mixture of myrrh and aloes in the Jewish burial customs then they laid His body in a tomb. The chief priests and elders remembered Jesus said that He will risen on the third day, so they sealed the opening with a heavy rock and placed guards to make sure the disciples do not steal the body. On the third day, Mary magdalene and other women went to look for the tomb but all they found was empty tomb and an angel telling them that the Lord had resurrected. Jesus appeared to His disciples, with the markings on His body.

So what are the significances? He entered the city on the donkey's back which means He came as humble as servant and just as obedient- to fulfill God's plan. When he said "It is finished", it means that He had cleansed all our sins and we reconcile to God. Sins have separated us from God. So His resurrection signifies the victory over death.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" ( John 3:16)
All His sufferings were for us, the sinners, who made Jesus cried. This song touches me so much that I cried when we were singing this song during the worship:
*switch on your speaker, it is playing this song.

We Are The Reason
by David Meece

As little children, we would dream of christmas morn
And all the gifts and toys, we knew we'd find
But we never realized a baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives

*Chorus:
And we were the reason that he gave his life
We were the reason that he suffered and died
To a world that was lost, He gave all he could give
To show us the reason to live

As the years went by
We learned more about giftsAnd giving of ourselves
And what that means
On a dark and cloudy day a man hung crying in the rain
Because of love
Because of love

* Chorus

Bridge:
I finally found the reason for livingIt's in giving every part of my heart to himIn all that i do every word that i sayI'll be giving my all just for himFor him

I really do not know how to break this news gently... MY PRESENTATIONS AND PROJECTS ARE OVER!!!... They became HISTORY...! yeah... its history. That is the only thing I like about history. Seriously. The EU 1101E had traumatized me beyond description. I figured out that I am suffering from a new psychological effect: historyphobia. The cure for this: take HY1101E, Prof Ernest Lockheart is the lecturer. However, it is too late. As i said, all has become history.

Now, its MUGGING time! ~ sirui had fedex-ed me all the left0ver midnight oil and chocolates from his mugging ( yes, his exams for his sem were history). So I have some reserves before embarking on my mugging adventure where new concepts are waiting to be discovered.

My pimples have reduced to red patches on my skin~ in hope to recover to the SK-II worthy skin. Then again, the exams are around the corner.. .
